We want you to understand the value of the living natural resources of the city and the ‘ preserve and use ‘ solutions for them. For this, please go to the VISUAL section. This section has some videos and Power Point Presentations to help you understand the issues - pictorially.
To get more detailed understanding, please go to the KNOWLEDGE section , where a number of articles and papers are presented on the subject. This section serves as a very useful research tool.
Once we have understood the value of these resources, we need to do something to protect and conserve them. For this we need to have a ground level mapping. This has been done in the MAPS section using Google Earth Maps. You can print these detailed and scaled maps and use them to submit your proposals to ‘Adopt and Protect’ an area of your choice.
In the light of the violations of their natural heritage - the protected area of the floodplains and Delhi Ridge, we ask citizens, schools , colleges, foundations, organizations, individuals to mark out an area of this invaluable resource, they can adopt for protection from pollution and encroachments by writing to the Lt. Governor for permission to do so. You can seek help from us and inform us of your initiative
Climate change may be reversible but natural resource loss is not. It is created over millions of years of evolution. The loss of natural resource is immediate and on the ground. By building this site which brings great economic benefits from preserving this natural resource will go a long way to arrest climate change. It is in this sense that the site provides a ground level answer to climate change
